Questions people ask
Who runs this website?
SingaporeDJs.com is a booking service for DJs, based in Singapore. Every enquiry and booking made here is handled by our team in Singapore.
Which DJs can I book?
Wedding DJs, corporate and D&D DJs, party DJs, female DJs, Malay and Bollywood DJs, and DJs with a live saxophonist or violinist.
How much does a DJ cost?
A DJ with their own sound system for up to 100 to 150 guests usually costs SGD 500 to 1,000 for 3 to 4 hours. A 5 to 6 hour wedding banquet package usually costs SGD 1,200 to 1,800.
How much is an extra hour?
Usually SGD 150 to 300 per hour when the DJ and crew stay past the agreed end time.
What does the fee cover?
The DJ's time, a briefing before the event, preparation and the agreed hours. Overtime and travel to remote venues are quoted separately.
Does the DJ bring sound and lights?
Yes. A standard package covers a sound system for up to 100 to 150 guests and basic lighting. Larger rooms need a bigger setup at a higher price.
Can the DJ be the emcee too?
Yes, as a DJ and host package. For a hotel wedding banquet of 150 guests or more, most couples book a separate bilingual emcee.
Can I see the DJ before I book?
Yes. You get a shortlist of DJs who are free on your date, with photos, videos and profiles, and you choose.
What music can the DJ play?
Pop, R&B, EDM, house, hip-hop, Top 40, K-pop, Latin, chill-out, 70s to 90s classics, Bollywood, Bhangra and Malay songs. Tell us your top two or three styles.
When does the music have to stop?
It depends on the venue. Hotel ballrooms set a fixed cut-off, and rooftops and gardens often stop at 10pm or 11pm. Ask the venue and put the time in the run sheet.
How far ahead should I book?
At least 2 to 4 weeks ahead for most events, 8 to 12 weeks for November and December company dinners, and 3 to 6 months for a wedding.
Which areas do you cover?
All of Singapore, from Marina Bay, Orchard Road and the CBD to Sentosa, Clarke Quay, East Coast, Bukit Timah, Jurong and Changi.
